8 Auspicious Singing bowl are personally hand picked from Nepal by venerable monks of Namgyal Monastery.This beautifully packaged set comes with a wooden mallet for softly circling and tapping the rim to bring out harmonic overtones, plus a pillow to seat the bowl. Singing bowls are used in Buddhist religious practices to accompany periods of meditation and chanting.
The outside of the bowl depicts the 8 Auspicious Symbols. In Buddhist legend, the 8 symbols represent offerings the gods made to the Buddha after his enlightenment. It is believed that each of these symbols have powers to bring blessings for which people include these in paintings, textiles, homes, and wherever else possible.
